On December 30, 2024, President Biden issued an executive order closing all executive branch agencies for a National Day of Mourning on January 9, 2025, in respect for James Earl Carter, our 39th President of the United States of America.  President Carter passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 100.

The Texas Western Bankruptcy Court and Clerk's office, which provides essential public services, will remain open for regular business on January 9, 2025.  All Court proceedings will be held as noticed.
