Notice of Texas Western Bankruptcy Court's CM/ECF unavailability beginning Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10 am (CT) through Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 10 am (CT)

Friday, September 10, 2021

Due to required CM/ECF server maintenance involving the installation of NextGen CM/ECF versions 1.6, 1.6.1 and 1.6.2, the Texas Western Bankruptcy Court's CM/ECF system will be unavailable for filing, as well as access to PACER and VCIS for queries, between the hours of 10 am (CT) on Saturday, September 18, 2021, through 10 am on Sunday, September 19, 2021.  Please plan accordingly.

The Court's website, located at www.txwb.uscourts.gov, will be available during the maintenance window.

In addition to certain security and technical updates, the PDF check program used by CM/ECF has been rewritten in version 1.6.  PDF Check is used to evaluate PDFs as they are uploaded to ensure they meet validity and security requirements.  The new program works with newer PDF standards and improves application stability by resolving previously inconsistent handling of page counts, JavaScript link counts, URL counts, harmful file content detection, etc.

Unflattened or otherwise malformed PDFs may be rejected during the filing process.  The simplest way to address most PDF upload rejections is to flatten the PDF.  Please review the attached document for information about correcting malformed PDF files for upload to CM/ECF
