Pursuant to Bankruptcy Rule 9003, ex parte contact with Judge Thomas regarding a pending matter is strictly prohibited.
For filing questions, contact the Clerk’s Office at: (210) 472-6720.
For procedural questions regarding matters pending before the court, like seeking an agreed hearing continuance or coordinating an emergency hearing, email the law clerks and the courtroom deputy. You must also copy all affected parties as well as the trustee in chapter 7, 11 (where applicable), 12, and 13. A representative from the U.S. Trustee’s office should be copied in cases where the debtor-in-possession is acting as the trustee. Please note that to the extent communications are sent by paraprofessionals, the attorney of record for whom the email is sent should be copied on the email as well. Because it is difficult to include all affected parties on phone calls, you must communicate with chambers about pending cases only through email copied on affected parties.
For questions about hearing settings, exhibits, and courtroom technology, please email the courtroom deputy.
