Judge Clark's Case Reassignment
As you may know, Judge Leif M. Clark announced his retirement after 25 years on the bench. That retirement became effective on October 20, 2012.
Judge Craig Gargotta will fill this position in 2013 after a new judge is sworn in for the Austin duty station and Judge Clark's existing caseload will be transferred at that time. In the interim period, Judge Clark's caseload, as well as newly assigned cases, will receive a temporary judge code designation of "Vacant Judge (A998)." This code will appear on notices, orders, forms and other documents issued by the Court. A recalled bankruptcy judge is expected to be appointed effective November 1, 2012, in order to assist Chief Judge Ronald B. King with hearing cases assigned to that docket. Lisa Elizondo will continue in her role as courtroom deputy and will be the primary point of contact for those cases. She can be reached by telephone at 210-472-6720 ext. 236, or by email at <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
