Attorneys who bypass the Pay Now prompt and choose to Continue Filing will accrue an unpaid balance. One reason you may want to Continue Filing is so that you can pay all filing fees accumulated for a given day at one time.

If you are deferring a filing fee, are exempt from paying a filing fee, your client is paying a filing fee in installments, or you have made a duplicate filing, click Continue Filing when the pop-up credit card payment window appears. Immediately contact an intake deputy at the appropriate divisional office. The intake deputy will review your e-filing and, if necessary, remove the charge from the fees due screen. You can then use the Internet Fees Due Report to pay any remaining fees.

If you select Continue Filing, every time you e-file a pop-up credit card payment window appears overlaying the CM/ECF Notice of Electronic Filing screen. The screen shows all of the outstanding filing fees you owe. This continues until you pay the filing fee.
